Ms. Ejaz has also extensively worked for the freedom of religious belief throughout the country by drafting amendments to legislation to protect the rights of minorities in Pakistan and by advocating them through public hearings in all provincial capitals of the country. She is currently pursuing her LLM with a specialism in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice as a Chevening Scholar.

She believes in taking a step to make a change, rather than taking a pen to plan a campaign.
Nighat has already bagged several international and national awards and recognition to her name, like being listed as TIME Magazine’s Next-Gen Leader in 2015, awarded Atlantic Council Freedom Award and Human Rights Tulip Award in 2016, and recently won hearts at the TED Global stage, for her work to preserve digital rights and freedom in Pakistan.
